Leading Through Crisis
Mentorship, resources, and wayfinding for leaders during COVID-19
Mentorship, resources, and wayfinding for leaders during COVID-19
Innoweave rapidly deployed a network to provide support to organizational leaders during the COVID-19 crisis. This “coffee with a colleague” format offered online mentoring to connect leaders with executives who have experience in disasters and other relevant fields.
The stream offered webinars and curated resources and links to organizations that are providing support.
This stream was led by Kimberley Nemrava. Kimberley began her emergency response work as a first aider, lifeguard and in marine search and rescue. She worked with the Canadian Red Cross for more than three decades, recently retiring as Vice President responsible for British Columbia and the Yukon, where she supported communities during large-scale emergencies like the Asian tsunami and the recent forest fires in British Columbia and Alberta. She worked with Innoweave to offer informative webinars and grow our mentorship group.
The Innoweave self-assessment tool is designed to help you determine your organization's readiness and whether your initiative or program model is well suited for Leading Through Crisis.
This self-assessment is in development and will be available in the near future.
This stream offered online mentoring to connect leaders with executives who have experience in disasters and other relevant fields. These mentors were drawn from existing networks and retired leaders.
A vital role of leadership is to see the bigger picture and have an understanding of what may come next. This needs mental space and time, both of which are in short supply at times like this.
This stream provided confidential mentors to listen carefully, share relevant experience and support leadership in their decision-making.
Emergencies are too much, too fast, overwhelming people, organizations and communities.
Mentorship is available to leaders, executives and board members of Canadian civil society organizations (charities, non-profits, social enterprises etc.)
