Christina Becker has been consulting and coaching in the nonprofit sector for 40 years. In her long career, she has had many roles – consultant, Executive Director, board member, volunteer President – where she has helped non-profit boards become more effective, refine their vision, and plan for their future.
She has seen and worked with great and well-organized boards, and with dysfunctional boards. Her career included stints at the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Sport, Ontario Museums Association, Corporation of Roy Thomson Hall and Massey Hall, Gemstone Film Productions and Fox Jones Consultants. In 1992, she founded C.J. Becker & Associates and in 2003, she joined Becker Associates as the Vice President of Association Management and consulting. She has led a great many studies, community consultations, and planning processes, and supported these organizations to improve their administration, financial management, board relations, marketing, and fundraising. Christina has a BFA [Music], MBA and a PhD equivalent in psychology from the C.G. Jung Institute in Zurich, Switzerland.
