Working with a collective of more than 50 community organizations and the South Okanagan Immigrant and Community Services, Debbie has provided leadership and coaching to help increase the pace of integration for newcomers into the South Okanagan and Similkameen regions. As part of the federal Local Immigration Partnership program, this project is helping increase newcomer employment and build a more welcoming community.
A seasoned facilitator and process designer, Debbie has extensive experience leading communications and engagement for complex multi-stakeholder projects in the public, private and non-profit sectors. Building on a background in broadcast and print journalism, Debbie specializes in senior level coaching in the areas of strategic communications, community and stakeholder relationship building and issues. Debbie has successfully engaged communities around some of the largest resource and infrastructure projects in Canada, and led collaborative processes to address significant health, social and environmental challenges. Committed to building shared value for industry, governments and communities, Debbie brings international best practices, leadership and innovation in the evolving areas of corporate social performance and corporate social responsibility.
