Elly Green

Biography

Elly has over 20 years of experience within the non-profit sector pursuing community growth and sustainability through social enterprise/procurement and will bring a collaborative, creative and flexible approach to your team and project.

Alongside Innoweave coaching, Elly is a faculty at Georgian College teaching across multiple campuses, MAIS graduate student at Royal Roads University and researcher exploring community wealth building policy/practice in Canada.

Between 2017-2020 Elly joined Georgian College’s Centre for Changemaking and Social Innovation and took the lead building out the Social Enterprise Network of Central Ontario (SENCO). She facilitated extensive regional, provincial and national partnerships, led stakeholder groups from awareness through to investment, and transformed the social enterprise sector in Central Ontario.

Between 2000 and 2017 Elly worked in various roles downtown Toronto. With SKETCH Working Arts as Social Enterprise Developer, facilitating the launch of their first social enterprise initiative “SpaceShare”, which brought eight specialty art studios into operation at Artscape Youngplace. Elly worked at a homeless shelter in Toronto over an 8-year period as Volunteer Coordinator, Streets-to-Homes Outreach and Frontline. Elly completed her Certificate in Project Management from the University of Toronto, along with Agile Practices in Project Management and her BFA at the Ontario College of Art and Design. She founded Clothing Brand Experiment (CBE) in 2008 as a social entrepreneur creating several lines made entirely in Toronto. CBE sold to a world wide customer base through its online site.
