Biography

Elly has 20 years of experience within the non-profit sector pursuing community development through social enterprise and will bring a collaborative, creative and flexible approach to your team and project.

In 2017 Elly joined Georgian College’s Centre for Changemaking and Social Innovation and took the lead building out the Social Enterprise Network of Central Ontario (SENCO). She facilitated extensive regional, provincial and national partnerships, led stakeholder groups from awareness through to investment, and transformed the social enterprise sector in Central Ontario.

Between 2000 and 2017 Elly worked in various roles downtown Toronto. With SKETCH Working Arts as Social Enterprise Developer, facilitating the launch of their first social enterprise initiative “SpaceShare”, which brought eight specialty art studios into operation at Artscape Youngplace. Elly worked at a homeless shelter in Toronto over an 8-year period as Volunteer Coordinator, Streets-to-Homes Outreach and Frontline. Elly completed her Certificate in Project Management from the University of Toronto, along with Agile Practices in Project Management and her BFA at the Ontario College of Art and Design. She founded Clothing Brand Experiment (CBE) in 2008 as a social entrepreneur creating several lines made entirely in Toronto. CBE sold to a world wide customer base through its online site.
