Biography

Jill is a participatory process designer, facilitator, educator and executive coach. She brings over two decades of experience to her work supporting multi-stakeholder groups to effect meaningful, systemic change.

Jill designs and facilitates processes that bring people from across backgrounds and sectors together around a complex challenge. These diverse stakeholders find shared purpose, co-create and test new models, and implement high-potential solutions.

Through her work with Urban Matters CCC, Jill is currently designing and facilitating social innovation labs in British Columbia, Alberta and Manitoba. Jill takes a coaching approach to all her work, seeking to ensure that any initiative she is involved in strengthens the capacity of the group to move forward autonomously. Jill has designed and taught post-secondary courses in social innovation and systems change, and she has been sought out to present on these topics internationally.

Prior to joining Urban Matters, Jill was the founding director of the social innovation centre at Mount Royal University (MRU). She has also been a ‘changemaker-in-residence”, a social purpose business owner, an interim executive director, a board member and a volunteer. Outside of work, Jill appreciates time on her yoga mat, paddling, running, skiing and snowshoeing with family and friends.
