Kate Potter

Biography

This is Kate Potter, owner of Smooth River Consulting. Her strengths are in project management – managing people, time and money. Her passion is making a difference, leaving the world better than she found it.

Her mission is to make your life easier so you can maximize your nonprofit or social impact business’ impact. She is here to help.

She is a people person who enjoys building relationships with stakeholders, clients, and colleagues. 

She has served in various roles within the nonprofit world, private small business and start-up environments. Through these roles, she has gained experience in many roles: program administration, event coordination, budgeting, logistics, proposal writing and managing outreach initiatives.

She has a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and GIS from the University of Guelph with certifications in: Project Management; Nonprofit and Voluntary Management; and Social Entrepreneurship.
