Biography

Lucie founded Umalia, a societal engagement firm, after 20 years as a senior executive in multinationals, in corporate social responsibility, strategic planning, change management and human resources. Thanks to her in-depth knowledge of organizations, she has developed pragmatic methodologies to anchor societal engagement in business strategies and to foster multi-sector partnerships with societal impact.

Lucie holds a master’s degree in management from HEC and a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations from Université de Montréal, is certified in change management and is an affiliate partner of the Shared Value Initiative network. She has led projects in the Americas and Africa, particularly in the area of climate change resilience. She sits on several boards in Canada and internationally.

Lucie was named one of the 100 Women Entrepreneurs Changing the World and received the United Nations Global Compact Accelerators Awards on behalf of Umalia.
