Mary Argent-Katwala, PhD has over 15 years of experience in strategic planning and stakeholder management in the commercial, non-profit and government sectors. Mary has held leadership roles at the multi-national and pan-Canadian levels in the commercial, non-profit and government sectors. She is a strategic and systems thinker with progressive experience in evaluating products and programs. Mary bring expertise in evidence-informed planning, implementation, knowledge mobilization and capacity building. She is energized by novel approaches to healthcare and enjoys working with others to make change happen. Most recently – as Director, Diagnosis & Clinical Care at the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer – she established stakeholder engagement, change management and capacity building plans to lead the implementation of digital pathology and surgery reporting in seven provinces by working with physician leaders, professional societies and provincial government agencies. Previously, she was the Director, Research at the Canadian Cancer Society where she devised a new suite of grant competitions and launched the charity’s first annual research impact report. Before moving to Canada in 2009, Mary worked as a consultant for pharma, biotech and medtech clients. Mary holds a PhD from the Institute of Cancer Research, University of London, UK, and an MA from Cambridge University, UK.
