Nancy Dubois, Owner/Principal Consultant in her professional practice (DU B FIT Consulting) for over 20 years, has worked primarily in the health promotion sector. The mainstay of her client base is “repeat business”, and many clients plan their events around her availability. Nancy brings extraordinary facilitation skills which includes considerable preparation to ensure asking good questions when in a group setting and being able to distill salient themes and conclusions from the resulting discussion.
Groups with whom Nancy has worked remark on her ability to share relevant and practical examples from work done with local, regional, provincial, national and international projects, most focused on planning processes by groups of all sizes.
Professional values reflect a commitment to evidence-informed decision making. Nancy was a pioneer in establishing criteria for assessing “best practices” in chronic disease prevention for Canada. Attention to evaluation is also key to any project be it formative, process, impact, outcome, developmental and/or participatory in nature.
Nancy has been a Board member and past Chair with the Canadian Fitness and Lifestyle Research Institute, Active Living Canada, and local chapter of the Heart and Stroke Foundation. She is particularly proud of her Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Award.
