Biography

Nicole Beatty (she/her) is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) who has raised over $30 million for causes worldwide and co-founded three charities and one social enterprise. Nicole manages her own consultancy, Capacity for Community and is an Associate and Instructor at The Fundraising Lab. She specializes in capacity building, strategic and operational planning, coaching, training, program development, impact evaluation and fundraising services for charitable and non-profit organizations, social enterprises and other community-minded businesses and professionals. Her sectors of expertise include food security, housing, poverty reduction, healthcare, women’s issues, youth empowerment, and arts and culture.

In 2018, Nicole was elected municipal Councillor for her hometown, Cobourg, Ontario, and appointed the Planning and Heritage portfolio. Nicole is an avid reader and writer, a social justice advocate, and loves outdoor adventures, yoga and bicycles. Nicole earned her BA Hons from the University of Ottawa and received a post-graduate certificate from Ryerson University. She is the author of several e-learning modules for CharityVillage and is a delegate for the 2020 Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference.
