Biography

Paige is a sibling, friend, and ally to people who experience disability. These roles are what brought and keep her working in the social change space. Professionally, Paige works as Senior Leader of Research & Social Innovation at Skills Society, a large disability rights and service organization in Edmonton. A large part of her work is stewarding community based problem solving processes out of Action Lab, a social innovation consultancy and social enterprise of Skills Society. Paige is also a PhD candidate at the University of Alberta. Her doctoral research uses participatory and arts based methods to explore what supports and what gets in the way of belonging for people with disabilities.

Paige has a unique perspective – working both in academic and community settings. She is continually working to ‘move back and forth’ and ‘weave together’ these perspectives to produce meaningful systems change for people and communities who need it. Paige consults, designs, and facilitates research projects, workshops, and innovation labs with diverse collectives. She brings knowledge of ethnographic, critical, participatory, arts based, human centred, and systemic design approaches. She has also been mentored by Mark Cabaj in Developmental Evaluation.
