Biography

Shazeen is the founder of Virtue Strategic Advisors, a firm that advises nonprofit organizations to develop their strategies and improve their business practices.  She is known for her ability to navigate through complex client dynamics and organizational issues.

Prior to founding Virtue, Shazeen was a senior manager for The Bridgespan Group, the preeminent strategy consulting firm in the nonprofit space. At Bridgespan, her consulting engagements with nonprofits include strategy development, facilitation, operational planning and development of implementation roadmaps and performance measurement strategies. While at Bridgespan she has had the opportunity to work with clients such as Feeding America, the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation, the YMCA of the USA, America’s Promise Alliance, World Vision, the International Salvation Army, the Alzheimer’s Association and the Anti-defamation League.

Shazeen also brings significant experience working at the intersection of business and social impact through her experience working at PwC where she was leading a practice that focused on governance and economic development for Aboriginal populations in British Columbia.  Shazeen has also worked for various international development organizations such as the Aga Khan Foundation, the World Bank and the UN and has lived in East Africa, Tajikistan, and Afghanistan. Shazeen earned her BSc in Health Information Systems from the University of Victoria and her MS in Health Administration from the University of Toronto where she focused on international health systems.
