Valery Navarrete is a strategist, facilitator, and community builder who catalyzes people and organizations dedicated social change to make better decisions, have greater impact, and co-create deeper connection. Her career and leadership coaching practice focuses on women of colour .
Valery’s almost twenty year career as a health and social sector executive has spanned levels of government and crisscrossed the not-for-profit, charitable, community, hospital, mental health and addictions, and social innovation sectors.
Valery has held senior roles in organizations including CAMH, the YMCA of Greater Toronto, Health Canada’s First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, and the Ontario Ministries of Health and Long-Term Care and Children and Youth Services. She is also a passionate volunteer and has held front line and board level roles with a number of social impact organizations.
As a mixed-race, cis-gendered, Latinx woman-of-colour, and care partner to a family member with disabilities, Valery’s personal experiences at the intersections of privilege and oppression are a driving force behind her efforts to work with others to build healthier, more inclusive organizations, communities, cities, and societies.
Core to all of Valery’s work is a passion for connection. She believes deeply that we need to recentre interdependence in order to thrive.
