Innoweave Platform Adaptations
The COVID-19 crisis rapidly and deeply impacted the ability of community sector organizations to deliver urgently needed support across the country. We supported community organizations through this time of crisis with new coaching opportunities, mentorship, and resources.
On September 29, Matt Youens (Human Elements) and Ana Sofia Hibon (Innoweave) presented the People, Change & Workplace Culture Webinar. During this session, we discussed how to support healthy teams, promote staff engagement and empower team leadership as we continue to build back better.

Innoweave is rapidly deploying a network to provide support to organizational leaders during the COVID-19 crisis. This “coffee with a colleague” format will offer online mentoring to connect leaders with executives who have experience in disasters and other relevant fields.
The stream offers webinars on topics that are important to you now, and in the days ahead, as well as curated resources and links to organizations that are providing support.
Mentors are located across Canada and can be accessed directly. No application needed.
Innoweave coaching engagements normally last months, but over the next three months we want to pilot micro-coaching across our existing streams. Micro-coaching sessions would enable experts from the Innoweave network to provide strategic advice without requiring extensive applications or long engagements.
There is a growing body of resources on different subjects (emergency response, remote working, crisis governance) being made available. It can be difficult to know which of these is right for you, and worth your scarce time. Innoweave and the McConnell Foundation are continuously scanning the field for best practices and publicly available resources. We have curated a shortlist of repositories, resources and tools to help you find the best available quickly.
