Biographie

Amanda Sussman is the Founder of Art of the Possible Consulting and works with dozens of organizations with inspired ideas for social change.  Her work focuses on transforming idealism into action to realize tangible results.

As the former Head of Policy for Plan International Canada, Amanda led two successful G7 policy advocacy campaigns that achieved significant impact and leveraged billions of dollars for global education and health in the developing world. The Art of the Possible method has helped drive successful advocacy efforts across a range of issues from gender-based violence and child rights to democratic capacity-building to combat extremism.

Amanda was senior advisor on human rights and refugee issues to federal Cabinet Ministers in the Canadian government, including Canada’s Minister of Citizenship and Immigration and the Minister of Foreign Affairs.  Her background includes extensive experience in human rights advocacy with organizations from Human Rights Watch and Amnesty International, to the United Nations High Commission for Refugees.

Amanda holds a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs and Economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington D.C., and a Joint Honours Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Political Science from McGill University in Montreal.
