Biographie

JP Melville is an Ottawa based, not-for-profit business and project management consultant who partners with organizations, individuals, and the private sector to assist them with achieving mission.

His working life began with 15 years of mixed farming and dairy goats, including organic production, and general construction in southern Ontario. He was actively involved in theatre and choral music through 1992. In northern Alberta, he worked in the oil fields and with indigenous communities. For ten years, he worked outside of Canada with small farm producers and local governments in countries such as Azerbaijan, Thailand, Bhutan, China (Tibet), Benin and Mali. His international work has included music and film production, with strong links to Canada. Since returning to Canada in 2004, he has worked with new immigrants, artists, arts organizations, theatre facility owners, youth groups, seniors, women’s shelters, farm based climate change groups and many others.

In 2019-2020, JP will be working on revenue positive social enterprise, shared accommodation concepts for diverse interest groups with a focus on our ageing demographic in rural and culturally unique communities, a major 45,000 ft2 creative cultural hub and service organization, an 1100 seat performance venue, youth programs, renovations and reconstruction of not-for-profit centres, literature, and immigration related activities in Ontario and across Canada.
