Biographie

Kristi Rivait has been working at the leadership level in the (non-profit) impact sector for over 15 years. She is an expert at organizational transformation, change management and diversifying revenue. Kristi understands complex finance, organizational culture and has an innate ability to develop revenue streams that increase impact and scale initiatives, build and grow assets, social enterprise and investment. Kristi coaches leaders of organizations on transforming internal culture, scaling impact and designing and integrating sustainable growth.

Kristi was Director of Fund Development for Vision Vancouver before 2008 elections where she learnt what it takes to build capacity necessary to scale. From 2010 – 2014 she was the Executive Director of Oaklands Community Centre where she increased staff salaries by 25%, purchased real estate, started a successful social enterprise and doubled the organization’s budget. Recently, she provided co-leadership to Ready to Rent and scaled their housing stability initiative from Vancouver Island, into multiple provinces and territories, increased budget by $700,000 and transformed grant dependency from 97% to 50%.

Kristi is co-founder of Scale Collaborative and fosters collaboration across community, various stakeholders and sectors. She has been instrumental in bringing together and growing Vancouver Island’s social enterprise, social innovation and social finance ecosystem.
