Biographie

Marialejandra is originally from Venezuela and transitioned from a 10+ year engineering career to becoming a facilitation & coaching consultant. This work allows her to offer solid project management and leadership skills while incorporating the perspectives of a variety of stakeholders.

Her experience includes 2+ years of corporate training and coaching with focus on leadership and organizational development. She also holds a Career Development certificate. A human-centered approach and the ability to connect with audiences of different ages and backgrounds are qualities of her facilitation and coaching practice. Her lived experiences as an immigrant, woman of color and member of the latin community are part of the lenses that she brings to her work. During the last 4 years, she has been actively involved in BC’s nonprofit sector in initiatives intended to support women, immigrants and other groups who experience multiple systemic barriers. As an employee and more recently with her social consulting firm Expansion Works, she has assisted local and national organizations with strategic planning, program evaluation and co-design, learning resources development, community engagement, facilitation, and coaching.

Marialejandra has a deep commitment to creating brave spaces for impactful and inclusive engagement. She is passionate about assisting groups in decision making, ideas generation and co-design to achieve meaningful outcomes.
